Gin Rummy

If you are not the dealer, you get to choose whether to take or
pass the upcard: Take the upcard if it will help you form a
matched set or run by clicking it to add it to you hand. If you
don’t want the upcard, click the Pass button. or
If you are the dealer: Take the upcard if it will help
you form a matched set of run. Click it to add it to your
hand. If you don’t want the upcard, click a card from the
stock.
You now have eleven clards. Click one to discard.
Alternate with your opponent, taking the upcard or a card
from the stock to form runs and matched sets, and discarding
a card that does not help you.
After you have a couple of runs or matched sets, you may want
to knowck. If you have 10 or fewer points of deadwood, you can
click the Knock button, and then click a card you want to
discard. Click a high card because it won’t be counted against
you, and don’t discard from one of your matched sets.

If all of your 10 cards (the eleventh card is not counted)
are in runs and matched sets, you have Gin !
Settings

To adjust the settings within a Gin Rummy Game : Click Options
on the menu, and then click Game Settings .
Winning Score : If you want to set a higher or lower number for
the winning score, type a different number.
Oklahoma Gin : Check this box if you want to play Oklahoma Gin.
This variation is played like Gin Rummy except that a player
cannot knock if he has more deadwood in his hand than the number
of points of the first upcard. For example, if the first upcard
is a 4, a player must have four or fewer points of deadwood
before knocking.
Ace upcard requires Gin : Check this box if you are playing
Oklahoma Gin and want to require players to play to Gin (instead
of being allowed to Knock) if the first upcard is an Ace.
Score doubles with flipped Spade : Check this box if you are
playing Oklahoma Gin and want winning scores to be doubled
when the upcard is a Spade. If a bonus is involved, the
bonus is doubled also.
Gin Bonus

25 : Click if you want players to score 25 points if they get Gin.
20 : Click if you want players to score 20 points if they get Gin.
Undercut Bonus
25 : Click if you want players to get 25 additional points if they
undercut the other player.
20 : Click if you want players to get 20 additional points if they
undercut the other player.
Hand Bonus
25 : Choose this option if you want players to receive 25 additional
points for every hand they win during a game.
20 : Choose this option if you want players to receive 20 additional
points for every hand they win during a game.
Can lay off cards on opponent’s Gin hand : Click if you want
losing players to be able to lay off their deadwood on the other
player’s Gin hand.
Ends in draw when two stock cards remain : Click if you want the
hand to end in a draw if the stock runs down to just two cards.
