1. From Halo, select Profiles and create a new profile eg All_Levels
2. From Windows, locate the 'checkpoints’ directory for the newly created profile.
You will find this in the My Documents folder,
eg
D:\Documents and Settings\…\My Documents\My Games\Halo\savegames\All_Levels\checkpoints
3. In this directory create a text file called checkpoint0.sav with the following text
0,0,0
0,0,0
0,0,0
4. Repeat the previous step until you have 10 files named checkpoint0.sav ..checkpoint9.sav
and for each file change the first number on the first line to indicate the level ie
0 The Pillar of Autumn
1 Halo
2 The Truth and Reconciliation
3 The Silent Cartographer
4 Assault on the Control Room
5 343 Guilty Spark
6 The Library
7 Two Betrayals
8 Keyes
9 The Maw
eg for 'The Maw’ level you will have a file called checkpoint9.sav with the
following text:

5. From Halo, select Campaign and Load Game. You should now have access to all
the main game levels.
Unlockable – Different Ending:

Different Ending Simply beat The Maw on Legendary to get a slightly different
ending.
Secret – Take screenshots:

Right click the Halo shortcut on your desktop, and go to properties. On the
shortcut tab, add -screenshot without quotes to the end of the Target box.
Remember to put a space before the dash. Click OK, and then run Halo using that
shortcut. Once Halo is up and running, you can press the Print Screen key on your
keyboard at any time to take a screenshot. The file will be placed in your
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\screenshots\ folder in TGA format.
You can use QuickTime to open it.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Once you exit Halo and open it again, any previous screenshots
will be overwritten, so you have to copy any pics you want to keep to another
folder.
Secret – Faster Reload:

This should work for all guns that can reload except for shotgun.
Reload the gun, as soon as you see the clip into the gun animation, either switch
guns or melee. The reload would save you good time.
Works in all setting, including multiplayer.
Secret – Survive Allmost any Drop With any Vehicle:

Immediately before you go off any high drop, send your vehicle into a 360 circle
turn. This works best with the Warthog or Ghost. You can fall an incredible distance
and receive no damage.
Secret – Skip over half of fifth level (Assault of the Control Room):

Right when you start the part of the level called, If I had a super weapon…
(about 2/3 of the way through the level), you are supposed to get to the top of
the pyramid structure on the other side, and the way the game wants you do it is
to get all the way to the bottom of the pyramid and fight your way to the stop.
You can save lots of time by using the following trick: as soon as this portion
to the level starts, run out onto the bridge that connects the two sides of the
chasm and get into the nearest Banshee. You have to do this very quickly, or the
Elites will take them first, and ruin your chance to get it. Once you’re in it,
just fly your way to the top of the pyramid structure and save about 20 t o30
minutes of time.
Glitch – Three guns in the pillar of autumn:

Towards the beginning of the game, there is a way to bypass the two weapon limit
and carry three weapons at once. On the first level, make your way to the bridge.
After speaking with the captain, quickly run out of the bridge before the chapter
name disappears. If you were fast enough, the checkpoint at the door will not
trigger. Now run to the mess hall and get your Assault Rifle and another weapon.
Now, run back to the bridge and trigger the checkpoint. When you go back towards
the mess hall, the pistol will appear in your hands, and you will be carrying three
weapons instead of two. Each gun reloads and exchanges normally. Note: This only
lasts for the first level.
Glitch – Stay on pelican:

In the fifth level, at the beginning when you are released of the pelican, immediatly
press ”e” to get back onto the pelican and continue flying with the ship.
But eventually you will die.
Glitch – Skip half of Silent Cartographer:
——————————————
There is a room inside of the main building (the one that houses the Silent Cartographer
itself) that has its door’s lock when you come near (this normally forces you to
take a serious detour to another building on the island to unlock these doors).
Drive the warthog you recieve from Foehammer inside this building and as soon as you
get inside the room DRIVE!! If you did it fast enough you can get the warthog between
the doors. The doors will move in and out trying to close infinitly but can’t because
the warthog blocks them. Drive forward as far as you can and get out. You just skipped
the giant detour! You can get back to the other side by getting back in the warthog,
backing up as far as possible and getting out again. Another bonus to this glitch is
that there will be a gold elite that won’t move at all on the other side of the door.
He can be killed or you could just leave him because he respawns when you have to come
back through the door after activating the Cartographer.
Alternate ending easy way:

Just finish the last level of the game on legendary. Then you get the alternate ending.
But be sure to get all the levels on halo. You can play the whole thing on easy or normal
and just play the last level on legendary.
Easter Egg – The grunt:

At the end of the Level The Maw when u are driving ur way to get picked upu go thourgh
the second tunnel and when u look to ur leftu should see dead bodies of floods and one
gruntIf u go near himhe will say something funny.
On Top Of The World:
——————–
On the Silent Cartographer level, go anywhere where there is an overshield, and bring
a warthog with you. It’s best to do this in co-op because it’s easier to collect the
grenades and initiate launch-off. Get as many grenades as you can, and have your
partner kill you, and vice-versa to get the grenades into one big pile. (Make sure
this is *near* an overshield.) Drive the warthog onto the grenades and try to position
it to where it would fly up on top of the level. Before you do anything else, make sure
you get a checkpoint. Have your buddy pick up a grenade and toss it under the warthog,
and RIGHT as he throws it, pick up the overshield and get into the warthog quick. If
you get into the warthog while the overshield is charging, you should get blasted
upward unharmed. You should reach the top of the level. If not, reposition the warthog,
or get more grenades. When you’re up there, kill your friend with the plasma pistol
from long range, and he should appear up there with you.
Easter Egg: Megg:

'The Megg’ is one of the hardest easter eggs in Halo. After all once you see the Megg,
its game over. Start a game on the Pillar of Autumn while on legendary difficulty.
Jump on the cryo tube Master Chief comes out of. Jump on the shield recharger thing.
Then, jump on the walkway. You’ll see some barrels. Jump on the top one. Wait for that
guy that woke you up to die, then jump down. Get to the captain and shoot him. As soon
as Cortana says, 'rampant’, find the door the invincible marines came out of. If you
can get past them, another door will open. The Marines can’t get you while you’re in
here. Look up at the 'M’ made out of bullets. After you see it you’re trapped and the
marines now can kill you. Like I said once you see the Megg, you die.
Easter Egg: Rex:

On the last level the Maw, on the last checkpoint, when you go off the big jump onto
the small bridge, drive the warthog so a quarter of it is off the bridge. Jump on top
of the warthog and jump on top of the wall on either side (the one closest to you) and
follow it up to an upper, smaller bridge. There are two hall ways and go in the one
with blood in it. Look to the right and you will find the name Rex written in blood.
Tricks With Ghost vehicle:

Jumping Over vehicles:
use thet ghost and run into them then press the down arrow to land safely
you can run into players then kill them:
run over them
Avoid Tanks,fuel rods or bazukas:
when a heavy weapon is about to hit your ghost vihicle jump out then backfire cuz bazokas
and tanks take long to reload.(fuel rods may not)
survive a fall:
either press the down arow
or turn 360 degrees
Hint:
keep circling your enemys they will most of the time miss you.

game over. Start a game on the Pillar of Autumn while on legendary difficulty. Jump on the

In order to kill the hunters, you have to shoot at their back which are uncovered by their
armor. You can also kill them by using the rocket launcher or by using a plasma grenade.
Level 2 Rock jumping:

When youve destroyed the banshees go up th hill on top there are 2 rocks jump on the lowest
one and u can bounce back an fourth beetween them.
