Press {Ctrl}+{Shift}+C to display the console window. Enter one of the
codes. Note: On Vista you may need to press {Ctrl}+[Windows]+{Shift}+C
to display the console window. The codes for the original The Sims 3
can now be enabled.

Press {Ctrl} and C button to open up cheat code entry box, then input:
motherlode , then press enter. It gives you $50,000.00 Simoleons each
time and it can be used an unlimited amount of times, time to make
yourself a millionaire and retire early!
How to promote yourself faster in a job profession:

Type in testingcheatsenabled true on the main menu screen once your
game starts up. When you are playing in your town and you select a Job
Profession, you can easily get yourself promoted by clicking and dragging
your Job Profession Experience Bar found under your Career tab.
A message will pop up saying that you Sim has been promoted to the next
level.
Family Funds:

Press Control/Shift and c together to get the prompt at the top of the
screen. Enter testingcheatsenabled true. Once this is done AND you have
a person/family that you want to work with, type in familyfunds (enter the
family last name here) and then enter the (amount of money you want) then
press enter.
Example familyfunds Smith 1234567 then press enter.
It works and I use it all of the time
Total disaster aftermath:

Join the firefighter career by using the Full profession level cheat to
boost yourself to level 10. You will receive a new fire truck and a fire
department alarm to place in your home via the family inventory. Once it i
shooked up to a wall, hover the pointer over the fire alarm. Hold {Shift}
and click to get a new option to chose a type of disaster. Select Earthquake.
A giant earthquake will strike the entire town, causing numerous gas leaks,
pieces of buildings to collapse, and Sims getting buried and trapped near
flaming wreckage all over the town (including your own home).
As you finish the first home you will realize how big of an aftermath it is,
as you run off to the rescue.

them are quite funny too.

Hold ctrl+shift+c then type buydebug then press enter after that go to buy mode
click sort by function a ? should of apeared at bottom right corner click on it
and you can get life fruit,pink dimoned spawn points and items you should need
level 10 in a skill to have.
NOTE: You may have to type testingcheatsenabled true on main menu by ctrl+shift+c
again this also workes for sims 3 and all expansions.
